After much speculation, leaks, more speculation and afew more leaks the Nikon D3x Digital SLR has finally been officially unvield by Nikon, two days after the latest previews revealed all its specifications and other information. Still, when you have waited for something this long, it’s nice when it finally arrives,  even if you have found out all the nitty-gritty technical specs way in advanced.

The Nikon D3x is Nikon’s new star in its line of Digital SLR cameras. It boasts 24.5 mega-pixels and a Nikon FX-format CMOS imaging sensor (35.9 x 24.0 mm). That’s a whole lot of mega-pixels and believe us, you’re going to have to pay for it….

The D3x’s special feature (amongst many) is its EXPEED™ Image Processing System, allowing it to shoot a rapid 5 frames per second and an even quicker 7 frames per second when you switch to DX crop mode. ISO sensitivity is between 100 and 1600 with boundaries of Lo-1 50 and Hi-2 6400. The Nikon D3x comes with 51 auto-focus points, 36 horizontal and 15 cross type sensors. If you know anything about digital SLR cameras, you know that this baby means business. It even has a HDMI out meaning you cab hook up to your HDTV when your done shooting pictures.

With it’s Lithium Battery, the Nikon D3x can shoot up-to 4400 pictures per charge, so no need to worry about battery power. At all.

All this can be yours for the handsome price of around $8000 – $9000 (told you that you had to pay for it ^^). If you had this much money to spend on a camera, GadgetHeat

would strongly recommend you check out the RED 28k EPIC 617 Mysterium Monstro

, a true beast of a camera.
