Taiwan gets all the good stuff first but it also get some decidedly average stuff as proved by HP unleashing their first nettop PC at a Taiwanese road show, the HP Mini-Q 2030 Nettop PC. Weighing only a few kilos the HP nettop PC is literally the bare bones of computing, coming with no monitor or other peripherals.

The Silicon Mountain Allio 42-inch HDTV PC and Blu-ray Player (quite a mouthful) comes with a massive 1TB hard disk drive, Windows Home Premium and 4GB of ram making it very tasty in the PC stakes. Add to that a 1080p panel and about 50 possible inputs and connectivity options including wireless and USB and you have a pretty nifty all-in-one machine on your hands.

After months of speculation, ASUS have finally let us have some concrete information on their two Eee Top all-in-one PCs, the ET1602 and ET1603. No word on price and release date as yet. Guess we will have to wait another six months for that titbit….

Will all the Eco-sensitive issues around these days it’s not wonder the Corporate desktop giant Dell have come out with this ever so environmentally friendly bamboo Computer. The as yet unnamed Dell PC is no concept and will actually be in production at some point this year.
