When it comes to gaming rigs, Alienware has long been up there with the best of them and even the voodoo, commodore and other high-end games machines struggle to keep up. Not one to rest on their laurels Alienware has released the Area 51 m17x, adding even more power to the Area 51 range.

The Area 51 m17x comes with two NVidia GeForce 8800M GTX graphics cards and you can ramp up the power by adding up to 4GB of ram and up to 640GB of hard-disk space. Sounds good. Sounds expensive.

You will have to fork out close to £1500 ($3000) for the standard version and will have to add an extra £500 ($1000) for the full works. Unless your really (and we do mean REALLY) into games, the Alienware Area 51 m17x looks like one pricey laptop to own.
