BlueAnt Wireless V1 - 100% HandsFree

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

The BlueAnt Wireless V1 claims to be the first and so far only, completely hands free Bluetooth headset on the market. No more fiddling with buttons to get others to hear you. Now you can safely ‘ignore’, ‘answer’ and ‘redial’ simply by using the voice commands even in your actual cell phone handset does not have a built in voice feature.

At $130 a pop the BlueAnt Wireless V1 headset isn’t on the cheap side as Bluetooth hands-free kits go but with functionality like this (assuming it all works as it should) the BlueAnt Wireless V1 looks pretty good.

Available now the BlueAnt Wireless V1 headset probably won’t be the only 100% hands-free Bluetooth device out there in the coming six months but if it gets it right, it will the fore-runner for a long while yet…

New SONY Ericsson Bluetooth - Why 3 is Definitly Not A Crowd

Tags: , , , , ,

Hot on the heels of the new SONY bluetooth headsets SONY Ericcson have revealed their own forthcoming Bluetooth headset trio, the HBH series.

These three natty little headsets are similar in performance so it’s on style where they are differentiated. SONY Ericsson tout them as having 800 hours worth of standby time (really?), 11 hours talk time, support Bluetooth 2.0 with auto pairing and also come with digital noise reduction (DSP). Pretty feature packed to say the least.

hbh-pv-715-720-740

Lookswise however, is when each of the headsets comes into their own. The slick looking HBH PV715 can be seen as the entry level headset, available in a glossy black or white finish which all the staff at GadgetHeat actually prefer to the other two. The next model up, the PV 720, allows its owners to customise the look of the headset by using StyleUp covers which leads us to wonder if this headset is aimed at the under 18’s and ‘laydeez’. The fact that it comes with a silver chain and a pouch also points the finger at SONY Ericsson’s marketing men having a ‘niche’ in mind when they rolled out the HBH PV 720.

The third offering, the PV 740 has a distinctive metallic finish and is also the only one of the headsets that comes with a status display embedded into the device, as well as a USB charger and a desk stand (for these extra features GadgetHeat will overlook the fact that it also comes with the girly silver necklace).

The SONY Ericsson HBH series will be available later this month with pricing reputed to be around the $100 to $160 mark.

Class In a Digital Age

cobalt

Fillias fog was more in touch with the 21st century than we thought. Despite taking a full 80 days to circumvent the globe, the man kept in touch with his peeps via Bluetooth and email. To much of a stretch to swallow? Yeah we thought so to until we had a glimpse at this little gadget.

The Cobalt by Adam Huffman is a very stylish little gadget and we are unsure if it is only a concept at this stage but if it goes into production it will be a genuine collectors item. It has an OLED touch screen that permits easy navigation of its functions by just using your thumb.

The home screen displays the time, your email inbox and any text messages you have received. You can also customize the screen to your satisfaction to display an almost completely analogue screen to a completely digital one and everything in-between.

Looks wise the Cobalt is definitely striking and with Bluetooth connectivity and voice-recognition software installed, the Cobalt is going to be a winner with the gadget savvy whenever it becomes available.
