Alienware Area-51 750i - What Do You Mean by Cheap?
|
Dell keeps churning out those cheaper Dell machines and their hardcore gaming division Alienware, have towed the company line with the release of the Area-51 750i. Whilst it will still cost you over $1000 for the entry level model, the Area-51 750i is still cheaper than the usual Alienware fare.
The model takes its name from the NVIDIA nForce 750i SLI motherboard it comes with and it also packs 8GB of DDR2 memory, Windows Vista 64-bit and PCI-Express.
For those of you not affected by the credit crunch, the Alienware Area-51 750i can also be pimped out with an Intel Core 2 Extreme QX9650 quad-core processor, 2GB ATI® Radeon™ HD 4870 X2 and up to 4TB of capacity.
The $1049 base price of the Alienware Area-51 750i will catch your attention but by the time you finishing adding on the extras you will probably still be looking at the more expected Alienware price of around 3k. Not so cheap then.
