The Sony TG5 HD Camcorder is now the worlds smallest Full HD handycam. Give it a few minutes and another one will come along so let’s not get hung up on size boys (^^).

Touch panel controls (buttons are so passée) and an ultra-light exterior is the wrapping, the meat of the Sony TG5 HD Camcorder now includes GPS so that you can geotag your pictures and videos easily. The handycam also comes with Navteq maps, smile shutter technology, and 16GB of storage space. The other features remain near identical with Sony’s previous handycam offering, the Handycam HDR-TG1 including 1920 x 1080 AVCHD video, 2.7-inch touchscreen display, and a 10x optically stabilized zoom exposing a 2.4 megapixel CMOS sensor.

Available in May, you are going to have to find $1,217 from somewhere if you want to get your hands on the Sony TG5 HD Camcorder. Good luck, video of the handycam below.

We’ve got our hands (and our eyes) on a hands-on walkthrough with the new Apple iPhone 3.0 firmware so we thought we would bring it to your attention (aren’t we nice?). This version is the beta so a few minor things may be tweaked before the official release this summer but as new operating systems go, this is the nuts.

Attacking on all fronts, Dell’s Adamo is clearly an aspirational laptop (as opposed to its ‘for real men only’ Latitude E6400 XFR rugged laptop). This arty-farty teaser trailer for the upcoming Dell Adamo should get those who are into minimalistic laptops salivating at the mouth (or at least make them dribble a little).

The video has a few robots faffing about with the Dell Adamo as it’s clearly too precious to be handled by mere mortals. Super-slim and silky smooth, don’t expect the video to reveal any specs or pricing, just expect it to make you want to buy it.

The video below of the iTune iPhone application manager concept is perfect. iTunes is a useful but cumbersome beast. It takes up too much resource on the average PC and it’s not quite as intuitive as you think it should be. Slow as hell too while we’re at it. When it comes to managing your iPhones applications on iTunes, the question is raised, why bother? There’s no real benefit and all the afore mentioned gripes come into play.

The iTune iPhone application manager concept by svdomer99 shows Apple how it should have been done. Easy drag and drop applications from your home screens, move them around and sort them exactly how you want them, quick and intuitive.

If this can be done (and we can’t see a reason why not), Apple need to turn this iTunes App Management concept into a reality pronto. Video below.

What do you do with a $70k 103 inch television in a tough economy? Turn it into a multi-touch touchscreen air hockey table FTW. That’s exactly what Panasonic have done with their extra large screen TV (they have an 150inch version but that’s another story) and multi-touch, Apple lawsuit safe, specialists U-Touch.

U-Touch have turned the Panasonic TV into a one capable of receving touchscreen input and the air-hockey software has been added by softrware house ui Centric. The result? A cool, huge touchscreen air hockey game which although still has some kinks, would still look cool in anybodies bedroom.

Not on sale yet (and don’t expect to be able to afford it if it ever does become available to the general public), the Panasonic Multi-Touch Air Hockey television is one for conferences and corporate events at the moment, which is probably why the video below lacks some oomph from the players.

Kodak Zx1 Handheld HD Camcorder

The Kodak Zx1 Handheld HD Camcorder looks like a brick when come compared to others in the mini-camcorder world albeit a fairly attractive brick. Mini-camcorders are no longer extraordinary and even HD mini-handheld cameras are becoming more common place so the Kodak Zx1 Handheld Camcorder had its work cut-out from the beginning if it was to stand out from the crowd.

Under its rough and gruff exterior, the Kodak Zx1 Handheld Camcorder hides 720p HD (60fps) video capture, up to 10hours of HD video held on up to 34GB of storage (via the SD / SDHC card slot) and comes with a HDMI cable meaning TV-out is a doddle (easy). It also has that most essential of features, easy upload to YouTube (and now that YouTube has an HD option, it makes uploading in HD worthwhile)

The exterior of the Kodak Zx1 Handheld Camcorder is water-resistant (IP43-certified) and features a two-inch screen. Kodak have also generously included pre-charges AA rechargable batteries in the bundle and a charger.

For a brick, it looks pretty sexy and, apart from black, is avaialble in 4 other colors to make it look less brickish – pink, blue, yellow and red. For $149.95 come this April, the Kodak Zx1 Handheld HD Camcorder looks even better….

iStation’s new T3 portable media player proves our long standing view that the Koreans get all the best things first (well, not all but a lot). The iStation T3 can do it all and then some. Supporting a list of media formats that would make an Apple Touch owner weep with envy.

The iStation T3′s media capabilities are impressive to say the least. On the audio side it can support MP3, WMA, Ogg, FLAC, APE, AC3, and WAV files. The video playback of things is no less impressive with support for MPEG-4, AVI, Divx, Xvid and WMV video files. Pretty exhaustive in terms of any format you are likely to need displayed on its 4.3 inch touch screen.

The goodies don’t stop tere. The iStation T3 PMP also packs in a TV-out option, FM Tuner, Voice recorder, E-Book capabilities and a built in dictionary. The only thing we can see missing is a phone but maybe their working on that…..

Other specs include a USB port, up to 32GB of internal memory (ranging from 4 to 32GB) with an added a SDHC expansion slot, 10 hours of battery playback and the entire package comes in at 170 grams in weight.

No pricing details as yet but the iStation T3 PMP will be available in Korea come the new year. Check out the video below to see this bad boy in action.

In another move to slow down the relentless march of the download pirates, SONY have announced their new music and video USB Flash Drives, pre-loaded with content for easy distribution and the digital age. GadgetHeat think’s that it is a great idea, although the ease of use of simply switching on your computer and downloading whatever you want may make the SONY music and video USB Flash drives a hard sell….

Pre-loaded video content will sell you back $29.99 and albums $19.99. In theory you’re also getting a free, high capacity flash drive but SONY have yet to revealed the layers (and layers) of protection they will be adding so that you cannot simply copy the content elsewhere and have the USB flash drive used for other purposes.

The SONY Pre-loaded music and video USB Flash Drives series begin with Michael Jackson 25th anniversary edition of thriller now available. For a man in such financial straits, I think Michael and SONY both are praying for success….
