The HTC Hero is another handset from the over-productive HTC stable. Besides the upcoming Lancaster and Magic we know are coming, the HTC Hero is about to join the pack and it looks like it’s bringing along the ‘Rosie’ Android OS as well. Hero indeed….

The Palm EOS (or Pixie, or Castle, or Mini-Pre, or…you get the drift) was little more than a rumour a few hours ago but now it’s all over the internet like a Paris Hilton bedroom video. Billed as the pre-runner to the upcoming Palm Pre (sort of like Silver Surfer to Galactus), the Palm EOS handset is the successor in it’s own right to the Centro.

Another movie, another spin-off product and this time it’s the Nokia 5800 Star Trek edition handset. Even though we have a thing about companies trying to make a quick buck with spin-off merchandise, we have to admit that the Nokia 5800 Star Trek edition handset looks like a pretty cool package.

The first Samsung phone is finally here in the form of the Samsung I7500 handset. With all the talk of the Omnia Android phone, the Samsung I7500 seems to have slipped under the radar but Samsung have confirmed that it will be the first Android supported phone from their stable.

This NES Controller Phone mod stuffs a Samsung Eternity into the shell of the retro gaming controller to pretty cool effect. Modded by green haired Nintendo fan Taylor Merrill, the phone appears to be fully functional with the back and side panels made from a NES controller complete with d-pad, start and select buttons et al.

The ever changeable LG Versa has finally made its game-pad module available to buy. The LG Versa game pad module snaps onto the handset easily and can be stored at the back of the handset when not in use. Just remove the QWERTY module and slide on the game pad in its place.

The LG Viewty Smart handset comes with an Intelligent Shot Mode that makes it easy to take better pictures by automatically analyzing scenes and adjusting camera settings for you accordingly. Great for the point and shoot, technologically impaired crowd (mum I’m talking to you). The Viewty Smart camera is an 8 megapixel sensor with sensitivity up to ISO 1600. You can also add geo-tagging information courtesy of the inbuilt A-GPS.

The Sidekick LX 2009 has been a long-time coming and we have had glimpses of the handset, also known as the Sidekick Blade, a few months back courtesy of strategic PR leaks. The day has finally arrived however and the Sidekick LX 2009 will be on general release on May 13th 2009. Roll on.

The Sony Ericsson Idou already looks like a winner and now we have spotted a silver version of Sony Ericsson’s 12.1 megapixel handset in the wild.
