The LG GC990 Louvre cameraphone boasts a (seemingly) impressive 12.1 megapixels. Why ’seemingly’ we hear you ask? Well, after 5 or so megapixels the human eye will not necessarily notice the difference in quality per megapixel. It is only when the picture is enlarged past a certain point that any difference may become clear and the LG GC990 Louvre 3.2inch screen, large as it is, probably won’t give any but the most eagle-eyed a thrill no matter how many megapixels it packs in.

The HTC Hero, officially announced today, is the first Android phone with Flash. iPhone 3GS eat your heart out. The impressively flashy exterior aside, the HTC Hero is much in the mould of HTC’s other current offerings, the HTC Magic, HTC Lancaster and the myTouch. Still, with the added Flash and snazzy keyboard with simulated haptic forced-feedback, the HTC Hero may just be the cult winner for anything-but-iPhone diehards.

The long awaited (and multi-named) T-Mobile myTouch 3G with Google has finally been officially announced. The T-Mobile myTouch ships in July and is T-Mobiles second android phone (it was previously thought that the T-Mobile myTouch would be known as the Magic).

The Palm EOS (or Pixie, or Castle, or Mini-Pre, or…you get the drift) was little more than a rumour a few hours ago but now it’s all over the internet like a Paris Hilton bedroom video. Billed as the pre-runner to the upcoming Palm Pre (sort of like Silver Surfer to Galactus), the Palm EOS handset is the successor in it’s own right to the Centro.
