The Wooden Electronic Ruler concept by designer Shay Shafranek would have definitly put the cool back into your school pencil case if it was around way back when. The wooden cover cleverly hides a row of electronic points which you slide you pencil or marker across, as demonstrated in the picture, and gives you a readable output of the distance via the Wooden Electronic Ruler’s embedded LED.

If Microsoft made a toaster you can bet your bottom dollar that there would be 3 versions with the basic versions not being worth the bread it’s buttered on and the most advanced version being a total rip-off. gripes aside, this (unofficial) Microsoft Windows Toaster looks sweet in a way if you are a dedicated Windows fanboy.
