The Bluetooth Boombench is one cool piece of exterior furniture by one of Germans upcoming designers, Michael Schoner of NL Architects. The Boombench interacts with Bluetooth enabled phones to play music via its embedded speakers. There has been a little while since we have heard anything truly remarkable from the Bang & Olufsen stables but the winds of change have turned and they have announced the release of the Bang & Olufsen BeoSound 5, a self-contained digital music system.

SONY Ericsson have given the whole funky speaker thing another shot with the release of the Sony Ericsson MBS-900 Bluetooth Speaker. If you have nothing decent in your MP3 collection, you can also tune it in to FM radio.

The Teac LP-R500 Turntable allows you to take your old vinyl and record it onto either tape or CD (or record your tape cassette onto CD). Considering the move towards digital downloads and MP3, having a gadget recording your audio onto CD seems dated straight out of the box.
