Nike Transformers Megatron

The Transformers Nikes are definitely made for the pseudo collector / eBay crowd. On face value, the Transformers Nikes are pretty lame looking and only pre-teens could justifiably pull-off the look. On the other hand, they may be so retro that Kanye West is likely to have a pair of these for every day of the week. We haven’t decide yet.

We have seen both Transformers shoes (unwearable) and interesting Nike trainers (also unwearable but at least eatable) before but the Transformers Nikes are the first time we have seen a feasible collaboration between the two. Even the packaging of the Nike Transformers shoes is in the form of a toy box which adds to the whole 80′s nostalgia feeling.

Three edition of the limited edition Nike Transformer shoes are available; Soundwave, Megatron and Bumblebee. These will retail for between $100-120 officially, and a whole lot more once they run out of stock.
