Segways are for dorks. There, I said it. The GM and Segway P.U.M.A is for dorks with more money than the other dorks and less self-awareness. The oddly self-balancing ‘Personal Urban Mobility and Accessibility Project‘ (P.U.M.A. – actually, shouldn’t it be PUMAP?) can reach a whizzy top speed of 35 mile per hour so get out the way fool, there’s a Facebook accountant coming through.
Powered by a lithium battery that can last up to 35 miles with a single charge, the GM and Segway P.U.M.A also comes with vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) communication meaning that you should be able to avoid bumping into other P.U.M.A’s with ease.
The price for this piece of uber-geekiness? Less than 25% of the cost of a normal car. Cheap but not as cheap as the Tata Nano and arguably not as good looking either. Release date of the GM and Segway P.U.M.A is yet to be announced (or even if it will go into full production).

Add this abortion to the corvair,the hummer and the coming VOLT ‘plug-in’ fiasco(a real transportation nightmare,when an ice storm or other weather problems leave you with no power,sometimes for weeks,the VOLT won’t be going anywhere), and so you have the reason why the incompetent management has to be removed,before the whole kaboodle goes up in smoke and the top flunkies disappear with their golden parachutes.
I am still mad about the GM Management being highly instrumental for scrapping our street car system and manipulating the gas shortage,for which they were convicted in a Miami court and fined ONE dollar!
