With Dell ever intent in cornering all corners of the market, the Dell Latitude E6400 XFR laptop is aimed squarely at those who thing MacBooks are for girls. The Dell Latitude E6400 XFR is a mean, lean ruggedized laptop able to withstand shock, dirt and water with a wink and a smile.
The Dell Latitude E6400 XFR is a military-grade notebook with a Ballistic Armor Protection System that has (impressively), twice the impact strength of magnesium alloy, the ability to withstand drops of up to 4 feet, and corrosion protection. This one could survive a week in the jungle with no food or water.
Inside the hardshell are Intel Core 2 Duo processors, a QuadCool thermal management system, 4GB DDR SDRAM and a choice between a shock mounted 80GB HDD or a 64GB SSD drive (both of which aren’t the largest capacity but the core market for Dell Latitude E6400 XFR will probably be those who only need a few key applications in the heat of battle).
Toughness doesn’t come cheap and the Dell Latitude E6400 XFR ruggedized laptop will set you back $4299 if you’re brave enough to need one. If you do need one for your work environment, maybe you should consider getting a new job, perhaps in an office? Just a thought.
