FujiFilm FinePix Super-Zoom S1500 » Not So Super
|
The FujiFilm FinePix Super-Zoom S1500 is a 10-megapixel camera. That immediately puts it in the ‘meh’ category when there are phones currently offering 8-12megapixels with xenon flash (Samsung Memoir anyone?).
Nevertheless, if you don’t like to contaminate your camera with a phone, the FujiFilm FinePix Super-Zoom S1500 is reasonably affordable at $249 and features everything a casual camera user would need. 12x optical zoom lens with 35mm, digital CCD-sensor shift image stabilization as well as shutter speed and high ISO sensitivity adjustments.
The FujiFilm FinePix Super-Zoom S1500 also comes with Face Detection and ‘Instant Zoom’ which will keep everything in proportion to the chosen subject. In a toss up between this and the Nikon P90 however, we would opt for the P90 even at the higher price.
The FujiFilm FinePix Super-Zoom S1500 is available from March 2009.
