TokyoFlash Fire Watch – Don’t Expect It To Tell The Time
|
There is no doubt that TokyoFlash have some great watches. We reviewed the TokyoFlash JackPot watch a little while ago and that was pretty sweet. The TokyoFlash Fire watch however, is something different. If you want a watch that tells you the time in a straightforward manner, this isn’t it.
The TokyoFlash Fire watch hides its tricolor LED screen behind what looks like a steel grate. The Green LEDs signify the minutes, the red LEDs mark every 10 minutes and the yellow LEDs represent the hours.
We guarantee that you will be looking at the watch for a good 5 minutes before you can even tell what time it is.
Who cares though, sometimes cool doesn’t have to be practical, it just has to be, well, cool. The TokyoFlash Fire Watch is available now for a princely $130.

[...] you have seen the Jackpot Watch or the Tokyoflash Fire watch then you know what to expect by now. The Kisai Denshoku follows the trend of being barely readable [...]
[...] truth, the Tokyoflash Ni is more readable than many of their other watches such as the Fire and Tokyoflash Denshoku. The Ni actually has pointers to indicate what each row of flashing lights [...]
[...] least TokyoFlash is remaining consistent in their time telling fashion, with both the TokyoFlash Fire watch and Ni using similar color coded time [...]
I don’t get why anyone would think this watch is difficult to decipher, I could tell within 5 seconds that the image above shows 4:57. So much for the author’s comment above which garunteed that it would take someone 5 minutes to tell the time by it. It only takes maybe 5 minutes to learn it well enough to tell the time in seconds.
