It’s all very well saying that you are going on an eco-drive and saving the planet etc but when push comes to shove, you actually have to come through on your promises to the environment and we are a bit suspect about the recent offering from Asus - the Asus U6 Bamboo Notebook.
Fair enough there is some bamboo on it but to call the U6 a bamboo notebook is stretching things a bit. Asus have indicated that over-heating issues is the reason for them scaling back the amount of bamboo used but with other manufacturers such as Dell using a whole lot more wood in their upcoming eco-friendly models, we wouldn’t be surprised if come the next generation Asus bamboo machines, we see whole lot more wood…
